Health: How to treat PCOS with Nutrition

Rosytime 恋玫

PCOS stands for polycystic ovary syndrome which only happens in women in their reproductive years, where polycystic means there are many cysts and it occurs in the ovary. The hormones are imbalanced and one of the common side effects is that more androgens are produced compared to estrogen. In this case, the ovaries are unable to release the eggs from their follicles hence forming cysts.

Irregular periods, no periods at all and having difficulty getting pregnant is a common symptom too. PCOS is only diagnosed when there are at least 2 of these symptoms showing.
