Health: Insufficient Intake of Fruits And Vegetables may lead to Heart Disease & Stroke

Insufficient intake of fruits and vegetables

A study conducted by the American Heart Association (AHA) has revealed that insufficient consumption of fruits and vegetables may lead to millions of deaths from heart disease and stroke.

According to the research estimates, approximately one-seventh of cardiovascular disease-related deaths are associated with inadequate fruit intake, while one-twelfth are linked to insufficient vegetable consumption.

In fact, fruits and vegetables are rich in essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants, all of which are crucial for heart health. Dietary fiber helps maintain healthy insulin levels, control weight, and reduce the risk of diabetes. Components like potassium, magnesium, and folate contribute to blood pressure regulation, mitigating the adverse effects of high blood pressure on the heart. Additionally, antioxidants protect the heart from free radical damage.

In simple terms, there is a close correlation between the insufficient intake of fruits and vegetables and the occurrence of millions of cases of heart disease and stroke. By improving dietary habits and increasing the consumption of these beneficial foods, we can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke while enhancing overall health. A healthy diet is one of the key factors in preventing heart disease and stroke.

Health or Money

Ever noticed how youโ€™re busy throughout the entire day and you spend your free time scrolling the news/social media but not paying attention to your health and fitness levels? Health is something most people take for granted when they still have it and only realize the dire consequences when theyโ€™re sick. But most people are mindful about the benefits of exercising, only they keep making excuses to delay it. We are gifted with bodies that allow us to exercise and reach our goals, but we keep thinking it isnโ€™t important enough or it can be delayed until another day, and ultimately not starting on it.

Not everyone is privileged enough to be gifted with health and we should never take that blessing lightly. Everyone has their own beliefs on what is important, be it time or money, but once you lose your health, itโ€™s not easy to get it back anymore. Take time to sit down and ask yourself, what really matters to you? If there is a chance that you can gain your health and earn a passive income at the same time, would you like to take it?
