Eating Mushrooms May Lower Risk of Depression


Researchers analyzed the diets of more than 24,000 adults. They found that those who ate mushrooms were less likely to have depression. Mushrooms contain high amounts of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. These compounds can help lower oxidative stress, which may in turn reduce the symptoms of depression.
