Wholesome Soy Foods Aid in Cancer and Heart Disease Prevention
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine notes the healthiest soy foods seem to be those that are minimally processed so all the original nutrients are retained. Current evidence suggests soy products may reduce the risk of breast cancer and breast cancer recurrence. The American Cancer Society supports these findings. They find that eating traditional soy foods may lower the risk of breast cancer. Soy foods are also linked to lower rates of heart disease and may even help lower cholesterol.
