Olive Leaf May Lower the Risk of Diabetes


This systematic review assessed the impact of olive leaf extract on cardiometabolic risk factors in adults. Twelve randomized clinical trials involving 703 patients aged 18 to 79 were analyzed. Olive leaf extract demonstrated positive impact on glucose metabolism, blood pressure, lipid profile, and inflammatory markers, all of which are associated with cardiovascular disease risk.

Recent News – Oleuropein May Help Reduce Liver Damage
Researchers have demonstrated that oleuropein, a phenolic compound found in olives and olive leaves, can significantly reduce oxidative liver damage induced by CCl4 (a liver toxicant) in rats. Oleuropein does this by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. Treatment with oleuropein improved the liver tissue architecture and decreased scarring.
